There is more than one artist with the name Nana: 1) Nana Kwame Abrokwa, born October 5, 1968, in Accra, Ghana, is a German rapper and DJ known under the pseudonyms Nana or Nana / Darkman. "Nana" is not a first name but a Ghanaian title of nobility. He moved to Hamburg at the age of 10. In the early 1990s, he began DJing in hip-hop clubs and contributed as MC Africa True to tracks by DJ David Fascher, including "Here We Go" and "Make the Crowd Go Wild". Nana released his debut solo single "Darkman" in late 1996, which became a success across Europe. His breakthrough came with the 1997 single "Lonely", which topped the German charts for over a month.
