Members: Hamzeh Yeganeh - Keyboard & Piano Amin taheri - Drums Ali Pournegahban - Bass Makan Ashkwari - Vocal Mahan Mirarab - Electric Guitar . Two jazz workshops by famous international jazz pianist Vahag Hayrapetyan in summer and autumn of 2005 in Tehran gathered many talented young Persian musicians interested in jazz music. Naima band was formed out of these musicians and its first line up was: Mahan Mirarab (electric guitar), Hamzeh Yeganeh (piano and keyboard), Amin Taheri (drums) and Dara Daraee (bass guitar). They had their first gig in Tehran’s Niavaran Palace playing mainly jazz standard songs, but the band’s style is a fusion of jazz music with Persian traditional and folk music.
