Nadezhda (Nadia) Kodes was born on June 28, 1991 in Leningrad, Russia. Her father had a good taste in music, therefore she grew up listening to the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. «John Lennon,» she says, «has always been my idol.» From an early age Nadia began learning music. When she was 5 years old she started taking piano lessons and at 7 she entered a music school to learn piano and cello. This special education was besides the regular school classes. At 15 Nadia graduated from the music school with an honors degree and two years later she graduated from High School, where she received a gold medal for scoring the highest scores in every subject. While still in High School, when she was 15, her father died of Lymphoma. At this time she started to party a lot and discovered other activities outside of school: clubs and concerts. Fortunately, this did not last for long, In 2008 Nadia entered St Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, She started to study English and French, planning for the profession of a Tour Guide. After two years of study she realized this was far from she wanted. «Leaving the University,» Nadia says, «was one of the best decisions in my life.
