NJZ (Hangul: 엔제이지; Katakana: エンジェイジ), also known as NewJeans (Hangul: 뉴진스; Katakana: ニュージーンズ), is a 5-member girl group under ADOR. The members are MINJI (민지), HANNI (하니), DANIELLE (다니엘), HAERIN (해린), and HYEIN (혜인). They released their debut single “Attention” on July 22, 2022. They officially debuted on August 1, 2022, with their first EP, "New Jeans". Group Name Meaning: As NewJeans, Jeans are known for their timeless fashion, each generation has its new style of jeans. A wordplay of “new genes”, which implicate that the group will be going in a new generation of pop music. As NJZ, it is assumed to be an abbreviation of their former name. NJZ Official Fandom Name: Bunnies (Tokki/토끼) Group history as NJZ: The group went on to perform at the ComplexCon under the name NJZ and showcasted their new song "Pit Stop". During the performance, they announced that they will be going on hiatus out of respect for the court's decision.
