New Skin (Jen and Gil) is a London band. The seeds were planted in a north London pub 2004, after a love of similar music and madness was established round a coffee machine. Both Jen and Gil had both been in bands before, and felt a bit frustrated with the lack of drama and tongue-in-cheek proper pop songs around. So they started writing and decided to get a band together. They then played a few gigs around town, and got offered to do an album. It was recorded during the summer of 2005 with Dave "Steve" Allen on producing duties in Beethoven street studios, London. Cleopatra released the album in September of 2006.
