NEONSTREAM is an experimental rock band from Vienna, Austria, founded in 2011. The line-up consists of guitar, bass and drums and is completed with keys, synths, effects/vocals and percussion. Their music ranges from psychedelic and progressive rock to electronic elements as well as improvisational sound- and noise explorations. Furthermore, the songs are composed in the process of improvisational jam-sessions, thus, every song is influenced by the joined ideas and preferences of every single band member. NEONSTREAM’s early efforts and creative urge resulted in several concerts in and around Austria and climaxed in their first studio-album "Fokus" which was released on July 1st in 2012. Two months later, the band went on it’s first, small tour in Czech Republic. Motivated by all the great experiences from the first tour, NEONSTREAM planned another tour for February 2013 which featured concerts in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia as well as Germany. From March to August of 2013 NEONSTREAM mainly focused on realizing new ideas and musical concepts for their upcoming second studio-album "3" which was eventually recorded in late August and prominently illustrates all the substantial aspects of NEONSTREAM’s sound characteristics. In order to finance the album’s post-production (mixing and mastering), NEONSTREAM launched a crowdfunding-campaign (December 2013) and raised nearly 150% of it’s original goal.
