NÓW was formed in autumn of 1997. Back then, during the eleventh new moon its members swore loyalty to Slavonic Faith and dedication to fight for the return of its greatness and glory. The horn sounded for the first time to gather the sons of this land to fight with judeochristian plague and with everything which insults the honour of our Fatherland. These were: Trivialis - bass and vocals, Odylena - synths and voices, Antychryst Pervus - drums, Rogath - guitar. In the January of 1998, echoes of the past glorious wars carried the clash of weapons to the first battle of NÓW - "Jeszcze Powróci" concert, played in Toruń. . Horns were blown, flames burning announcing the second battle for faith and soil. White Eagle led us like our Fathers long time ago, to fight for what is lost. It happened on the 15 December 1998 on the concert "Pieśń Powrotu". The NÓW horde was supported then by the brotherband FORNOSTEM. Also then the unnofficial video under the same title was made. In April '99, Rogath was dismissed and Mœciwoj Nakon Amroth took over the function of guitarist. In May, Antychryst Pervus was replaced by Wojgniew Denethor. In the February of 2000 the band recorded their first demo "Przebudzenie Uśpionej Potęgi" and it was released by Majestat Nocy Promotion in autumn of the same year. After this Amroth and Denethor must left the band. Line - up problems were the reason of more than year and half silence. It ends in October 2002 when the old drummer Pervus joins NÓW again.
