Raised in South East London but with roots that stretch back generations to Uganda, Mysie can retroactively plot the path to where she is now: from initially making intimate indie soul to making playful electronic music After the release of her debut EP, Mysie signed to Frasier Smith's label, 70Hz, and together they produced her second EP Undertones which was released in May 2021. Her third EP joyride was released a year later in May 2022. On September 27, 2024, Mysie released her debut mixtape CONTROLLA, which was a departure from her stripped down soulful sound established in her past EPs, and leaning more towards an electronic/dance sound that she started to develop with songs like “CTRL” and “PLAY”. Mysie’s attitude is to embrace love, live within it, and make art from it, no matter what the cost.
