about

My Man Friday was a ska band from the Utah County (Provo) area in Utah. They played around the same time as other Utah County ska juggernauts Strëtsch Armströnng (later Stretch Magnifico, and finally The Stretch Band) and were featured on the Vegas Records compilation "Hey Brother, Can You Spare Some Ska? Vol 3" with their single, "Sassy Girl." They had 3 releases: Monkey Business, the Sassy Girl EP and Night of the Exotic Tiki Gods. The "Sassy Girl" EP had 3 tracks including, of course, the title track "Sassy Girl" with B side including a cover of the Kinks' "Come Dancing" and a third track "No Excuses." They broke up around the time the Olympics came to Utah, with a few of the members helping form another Utah ska band, 2 1/2 White Guys User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
