My Flesh Heart was born circa 2006, but formed alliance with co-member Paolo Angulo in 2011. The first song Ben ever wrote was called "Abba, Father" when he was thirteen years old. Now he's written dozens if not hundreds of songs. In 2011, Ben reached out to Matt Odmark from Jars of Clay who invited the band up to Nashville to record in early 2012.
