My Attorney is a low-key, high-output two piece band from Portrush, County Antrim. Both Andrew Gardiner and Andy Warmington used to be members of trad-pop band Pond, which went on permanent hiatus in 2002. My Attorney was effectively formed one summers afternoon in Andrew's back garden, with Andy strumming some nice chords while lamenting the fact he hadn't written a song in ages, and Andrew singing lines from his note book; the song became 'Suburbia', and prompted further writing sessions over the next couple of years. While being based on a guitar/vocals set-up, the studio-bound band start with simple, pretty songs and take them through a thoughtful, imaginative and clean poduction process. Their first album 'Silver Bullet' is a confident and eclectic record prepared over about four years and recorded over a four week period in summer 2005; sweet songs of regret, conceptual electronica, full harmonies and a happy ending. It also includes a cover of Fugazi's 'I'm So Tired'. They are currently in post-production of their second album 'From Our Own Correspondent', with the third already written.
