Formed in Febuary 2006 Mustard City Rockers consist of members of Norwich bands Project Mork, The Antix, Visual Offence, Skudder, TCR, Wine-o, Black veins, Protection Racket, Back Bench Revolt, Semtex, Bens Little Rebellion and Judder and The Jack Rabbits. Wanting to play something more pleasing on the ears than punk rock they all decided to pick up strange mystical instruments that they could not play but would also look funny on them. After a few rehearsals though they realised they could actually make a decent enough noise and set about the task of playing parties, beer festivals and familly fates. Look out for them busking on the streets of Norwich when the sun shines. They are influenced by Dubliners, Pogues, Murphys, Fine Norwich and stunning Norfolk, Alan Partridge, Roy Waller, Flogging Molly, The Singing Postman, N.C.F.C, Slayer, Poison Idea, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Neck, The Tossers, The Pubcrawlers, Subhumans, The Norfolk Broads The Mustards called it quits in late 2009. Their last ever gig was at the Blueberry pub in Norwich on Friday 18th December. Accordian player Peter Wright and guitarist Rob Dempsey now play in This Business Is Closed while other members of the band including songwriter Chris Hodson and drummer Triston have expressed plans to form a mustards-type band in the near future.
