Belgian/UK industrial rock/ebm band. Members have included Revolting Cocks' Luc Van Acker and King Butcher's John Butcher. Staring capitalism in the face and spitting in its eye. With a band name like Mussolini Headkick, images of blatant fascism and ultra-right doctrine immediately come to mind. But English composer John Butcher denies any links whatsoever with the ideas of the legendary Italian dictator and his followers. He's just interested in the fascinating history of the Second World War excesses. Mussolini Headkick serves a highly danceable kick in the teeth for contemporay values. A musical scream for justice and strength of mind. Combining the rhythmic brutality of Nitzer Ebb and Skinny Puppy, they move on to white funk to bleakness. There's real pain and frustation here.
