Artist
Chad Muska (born May 20, 1977) is an American professional skateboarder. Most famously known for his part in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video games, he is also an entrepreneur with several endeavours including streetwear, art, and music - under the moniker "Muskabeatz". For his debut and only music release, Muska had planned to produce a drum and bass record, but decided during the recording process that the album should have an "old-school feel" to it. The record - also titled Muskabeatz - was released on February 13th, 2003 on Muska's own 1212 Records label. Featuring artists such as Raekwon, U-God, Afrika Bambaataa, Biz Markie and Jeru The Damaja, the album was released with a limited edition mini Muskabeatz magazine. The tracks "Body Rock" featuring Biz Markie and "Verses Of Doom" featuring Jeru The Damaja were featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
