There are at least four artists by this name, a Russian mix maker, a Japanese guitarist and an Australian Electro artist. 1) Muffin is one of the first Russian mix makers working in the bastard pop style. He makes both mash up mixes and remixes. He does not play at clubs but prefers thoughtful and careful sound studio work rather than club drive. Free tracks can be downloaded at his offical website, http://www.muffin.ru/english/. 2) Mana Sasaki's solo work muffin could be classed as slow core/sad core, with sweet melodies influenced by seventies folk and nineties shoegaze. On the Christmas song "Wonder Night" , her whispered vocal accompanied by the sound of quiet guitar built her reputation. On her first LP grapes she was accompanied by Yoshiko Iguchi(flute) Yoshinari Kishida(dr,perc) Yorihito Matsumoto(bass) Yoshino Trans(esraj) Nick Duffy(bouzouki,banjo) and David Naughton(producer).
