Artist
Mucho Indio is a Colombian artist's collective working at recovering of sacred territories. Mucho Indio is the art of discovering the newest in the older. Mucho Indio is the music of a new racial mix based in respect. Mucho indio, a group of musicians and artists, travel to these territories to experience the paleo-futuristic laboratory, meeting ancestral artists, listening to the wise word of Taitas (savants) to find a new unknown way to understand music, arts and life. After learning as much as possible, combining this new knowledge with all their urban modern culture (jazz, classical music, occidental harmony, technology, etc..) the result is something never heard before. Mucho Indio proves through music, that there is a way out of the chaos and maze, that we can find an alternative to roman-greek-occidental-globalized-money culture, that humans as creative beings can use their ability to invent a new city that wouldn't deny nature. our chords are agreements, the scale is the spiritual guide, rhythms reveal the mistery of the world, traditional chants are keys to enter the new times. teto ocampo: director/guitars/programing/flutes/percussions/research carlos rengifo: bass gilbert martínez: percussion pits piñacué: traditional nasa flutes william morales: traditional percussion/strings/winds juan gabriel ospina: winds pedro acosta: drums maría teresa villafañe: singing mefisto: street art omar florez: flutes chongo: percussion julio torres: accordeon jason carrillo: accor
