The Mt Mosaic band was formed at Mosaic Church in Mt Maunganui, New Zealand. Their music is predominantly of the praise and worship genre and is aimed at connecting people with God. Their debut album, The First and Me, was released early in 2009 and is a collection of original worship songs, which reflects much of the church's journey. It was anticipated with the release of this album that the songs may be of use to other church communities. The core members of the band are Josh Turner, Steve Fruish, Jared Harper, Si Hayward, Kelly Kayward and Dan Leigh.
