Misterio is the latest incarnation of Daniel Ortiz (Producer/Dj/Remixer/Quasi-Instrumentalist/) known in the local indie scene for his messy guitar slaying in Los Sonidos Distantes and Vic Vega and the Caligaris and for destroying electronic and hip hop music under various monikers (Random Gonzalez, smck, OverLord). Random Gonzalez, producer extroaordinaires Daniel Ortiz and Luis Viera decided to join forces in 2002 to create 80's Miami Beat Pussy Trembling music. They have been known for their exclusive V.I.P after parties, in which they perform their original music to a crowd who just can't get enough. In 2005 (May) they were interviewed by Trace magazine with fellow Candela artists and Pablo Rodriguez. They have 4 EP's on their suitcases, available only to those in the know. 2007 has given Random Gonzalez new directions with the two creative forces behind the project going solo as Misterio & Random Gonzalez to serve new sounds often described as harsh techno punk by those sober enough to remember.
