26 year old Jon Friso (Mr. Frizo) is one of the most unique urban artists/producers on todays music scene. His sound is melodic, catchy, and uptempo similar to what you hear in pop music while at the same time his songwriting and delivery skills are clearly a form of rap. Being his own producer is the key to Frizo's uniqueness, and makes it difficult for others to recreate his sound, making Frizo truly one of a kind. Frizo was born on November 2nd 1984 in Racine Wisconsin and like most musicians started his career in a bedroom recording rig. He often ditched out on high school classes for the sake of making music until finally he dropped out of high school altogether. Even at such an early time in his career, he knew exactly what he wanted to do and how he was going to do it. Instead of graduating with his class in 2004, Frizo teamed up with fellow classmate/friend Andreas Oliver, who also held an interest in making music. But more than making music, Andreas (AO) was interested in the organized distribution of the music. The duo set up a typical, low budget, bedroom recording rig and from there created the local record label, eNicaR Records. eNicaR Records was something new and fresh to the local hip hop community. From the unique sound of the music, to the willingness to do anything and everything to build awareness. The release of their first album “I Rep Vol. 1” was a success to say in the least.
