Mr. Beat is a 34 year old man who is clinging on to those memories of psychedelic sounds and 10 hour dancing sessions. His music is extremely quirky and simply produced, using only Cubase and Reason as equipment. Most of his tracks are autobiographical, mapping out points in time in which he has expressed his thoughts by sitting in front of the computer, plugging in a controller keyboard and making a tune from start to finish in a couple of hours. Influenced mainly by the releases of Relief Records head honcho, Green Velvet, and Masters at Work, Mr. Beat's sound is raw, basic and honest.
