Mr. Derry, were all born and bred in the same village, (actually road) "although we have all known each other for years we all had our own individual projects going on and didn't actually figure out that we should form a band together, when the time came each member had the correct ingredient for the band, it soon became very clear that we'd been given a blessing from above and that MR DERRY was our future". Mr. Derry describes their sound as "Indie rock & roll with a hint of blues". The bands philosophy on song writing and their music has a very classic feel. The hint of blues definition refers to classic rock and roll that emerged in the 60’s and 70’s where R&B was still Rhythm and Blues and not Craig David! Mr Derry do not write songs to sum up the meaning of life or to create a new science form. The band writes about what they know, see and hear every day.
