about

Moxine is a disco rock shake-your-ass in the garage band from [plaformed]São Paulo, Brazil, that formed in 2008. With sick guitar riffs and a voluptuous voice, the lead singer and guitarist Monica Agena, along with her partner, Fabiana Lugli (bass), have been tearing up the underground scene of Brazil over the past years. The duo fuses today’s modern dance rock sound with a fierce sense of melody and savory rhythms. The band came on the scene in 2009 with the release of their debut EP 'Electric Kiss'. With only 4 very unique tracks, the trio fused the danceable beats of modern rock with melodies reminiscent of North American pop. “Good Choice” is a perfect example of their panache. The EP caught the attention of some influential folks, and shortly thereafter, the band began a string of shows – from the alternative circuit in São Paulo to a variety of international festivals such as SXSW and Liverpool Sound City.
