Mouth For War is a metalcore band from Colorado Springs, Colorado, formed in 2019. The group includes vocalist Trae Roberts, guitarists Gabe Moya and Jonah Starbuck, drummer Mason Sego, and bassist Michael Guglielmi. The band’s sound is rooted in metalcore, featuring aggressive breakdowns and melodic elements. The band debuted on June 14, 2019, with the release of their single God, Help Us All. This was followed by their first EP, An Ear Kept to the Ground, released in October 2019. Known for their cathartic and heavy music, Mouth For War has often been described as channeling their intense energy into both live performances and recordings, earning praise from outlets like Outburn and No Echo. Mouth For War's first full-length album, Life Cast in Glass, came out on May 14, 2021. It was well-received, with MetalSucks highlighting their ability to combine elements of metallic hardcore with influences from bands like Hatebreed, Lamb of God, and Pantera. Their second full-length album, Bleed Yourself, was released on October 27, 2023, through MNRK Heavy. The album was produced by Pete Grossmann at Bricktop Recording in Chicago, Illinois, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, a studio known for working with acts like Obituary and Creeping Death. On September 25, 2024, the band released their standalone single, The Earth's Cold Embrace, produced by Josh Schroeder.
