Mount Avalanche first saw daylight in the spring of 2009 as Tim Hukari separated from his band at the time to make music with the producer and sound engineer Peter Arvidsson. Together they create a colorful sound with great warmth, well-defined guitars and beautiful harmonies. They first appeared live at a rock festival in Katrineholm's town park and have since played on a regular basis around Stockholm, Katrineholm and Norrköping. On the release for Swing it Low EP in Stockholm in June 2010 they played for a crowd at approximately 900 people. Mount Avalanche was signed by A West Side Fabrication in March 2010. About two months later, May 18th, they released Swing it Low EP. Before signing with West Side, they had a record deal offer with an Australian company that wanted to get them distributed in the US and Canadian market. The band turned down the offer. For some unknown reason, they were contacted a few weeks later by Joakim Wallström, the company owner at West Side. The single Swing it Low has been aired on the national radio P3 and other smaller radio stations. The song ”The End” was put to A-list rotation in September 2010 on gimmeindie.se. Things are looking quite good at the moment and the band is in the studio right now to record a full length album. It´s expected to be released in spring 2011.
