There are multiple artists name Motherland: 1) Motherland are a five piece alt-rock band from the North East of England. 2) Motherland are a jungle group who had releases on Mark Ryder's low price music label which was a sub for his Strictly Underground releases. 3) Motherland are a rock band formed by former members of Bonham. With the addition of vocalist/guitarist Marti Fredericksen (a former member of Outlaw Blood) the remaining members of Bonham- Jason Bonham (drums), Ian Hatton (guitar) and John Smithson (bass)- had a new lease on life with their Motherland project. Even though the band were short-lived, Bonham, Fredericksen and Smithson all worked together on some of John's solo material. Fredericksen would move out of the spotlight and pursue a career in production, working with such names as Aerosmith and Def Leppard. 4) Motherland was a band formed by SOPHIE, Sabine Gottfried, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy, and Marcella Dvsi.They played live shows in Berlin and the UK during 2008β2009.
