Mora Träsk is a Swedish children's music band that formed in 1971. The original lineup included Leif Walter on vocals, Ove Wall on guitar, Sture Ekendal on bass, and Carlos Söderlund on drums. Guitarist Gert Ove "Prikken" Smedlund joined the band in 1978. The band has during their career played 6000 live shows and sold 1.3 million copies of their albums, singles and casettes. Additionally, they have sold half a million song play videos. Initially, Mora Träsk played progg rock music, but after ten years, the band transitioned their focus to children's music. Their breakthrough came with the release of the album "Kaviar, sånglekar & tigerjakt" in 1981, which featured songs collected by Leif "Leffe" Walter during his time as an elementary school teacher. Throughout their journey, Mora Träsk went through several member changes, with Leif "Leffe" Walter and Gert Ove "Prikken" Smedlund being the remaining members in 1982. They approached Swedish Television with a proposal for a children's TV series, which resulted in a five-episode show that aired in 1982. Concurrently, the band released the cassette "Skidvalla och 7-spring" to coincide with the TV series, gaining significant attention. They performed 300 shows that year. The following year, Mora Träsk produced another TV series called "Fortsatt högtryck med Mora Träsk" and released the album "Mera Mora."
