Moop was (2003): Eric Theodore Cartman (later of Faith + 1): lead vocals Stanley Marsh: bass Kyle Broflovski: guitar Kenny McCormick: drums According to Randy Marsh, he thinks the band sounds like "a group of Vietnamese people having their intestines pulled through their mouths." The band's lead vocalist Cartman was kicked out of the band shortly after its formation for suggesting that Moop should play christian rock. As the ex-bandmember went on to found award-winning Christian band Faith + 1, remaining members continued searching for inspiration. They decided to download various free illegal MP3s online but they were quickly charged by the FBI. After seeing how free downloading affects the artists who made those songs the band decided to go on strike until fans quit stealing music. Other artists decided to join Moop's strike including: Britney Spears, Ozzy Osbourne, Missy Elliott, Master P, Blink-182, Metallica, Alanis Morissette, Meat Loaf, Rancid and Timmy & the Lords of the Underworld. However, Moop soon realized that the importance of their fans and decided that touring still brings in revenue.
