Monza Express are a 5 piece guitar band from Aberdeen, Scotland. Influences include Fraser Bateman (lead vox and guitar) Greg Burgess (Bass) Kris Fraser (keys) Shaun Reid (guitar) ‘Deco’ Smith (Drums) Starting in Aberdeen wowing audiences locally with their entertaining tunes, catchy riffs and memorable lyrics they’re now branching out With 3 song writers in the band they are adept at taking on different styles of music across their set 2018 saw their debut “Sunshine” receive praise for its upbeat and jangle pop mastery 2019’s In the City followed “jaunty with Beatlesque overtones” 2020 was their most successful year with the release of the radio friendly Crying on the radio, catching the attention of many Indie stations across the UK as well as being heavily featured in the legendary #DPHAPPYHOUR Playlist and seeing the tune reach Europe and the USA. The song also ended up in many Indie Countdowns Top 10s of the year including the infamous #Indie100cup. 2020 was rounded off nicely with an inclusion in the incredibly successful Brits n Pieces compilation album, that entered the official UK Top 50 Album chart just before Christmas. Now with streams of their music over 10,000 since launch and interest in the band continuing to rise, 2021 should see them busier then ever with a growing fan base desperate to see them live in venues and festivals as normality returns.
