Monte Penumbra is a Dissonant Black Metal from Portugal, formed in 2012 by a madman W.uR (Ab Imo Pectore, ex-Angrenost). In 2013 he released debut full-length Heirloom of Sullen Fall with help of the drummer Mons Vcnt (Ab Imo Pectore) through Daemon Worship Productions, and after several splits and EP's, finally, in 2021 was released second full-length album As Blades in the Firmament, this time with the help of another drummer Bjarni Einarsson (Rebirth of Nefast, Sinmara, Wormlust, Almyrkvi, Slidhr), on the respectful black metal label End All Life Productions. In December 13th of 2024 was released third full-length album Austere Dawning via NoEvDia. Project goes diving into the mind-twisting depths of the beyond, a psychotropic journey into the caverns of madness and grim visions of the void.
