With Brandon Crews on the guitar and Bryan Oliver behind the Rhodes, Mont Lyons are charging the indie music battle field with their sights set on joining the ranks of such folk-pop heroes as Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses. Do they have a long way to go? Hell yeah they do. But give their songs a good listen, and I think you’ll agree when I say that these guys have all the necessary ingredients. Seeing that both Oliver and Crews were both raised in an all a cappella church, rich vocal harmonies just seem to come naturally. Toss in brothers Trevor and Colton Smith on bass and drums respectively and these guys are ready to hit the road. Be on the lookout for their first EP, Sleep Talk, now available on iTunes.
