Monsters of the Sea were the bastard child of a leviathan and a kraken. Alex Tyson and Timothy Meskers, who had previously played together in noise group Eugenia, embarked on another international voyage - this time around, with help from first mates Jesse D. Todd and Lindsey Roethke. Scoring a hit with the theme to controversial sitcom "Seasick!", an unflinching look at the hardships and challenges faced by an interracial family on a houseboat, they thought that they were on the tugboat to success. A slew of home recordings were made with reckless abandon. Little did they know, the whirlpools of fame and the seduction of capitalism would tear their creative vessel apart. Timothy, Jesse, and Lindsey went on to become the similarly nautically themed reggaeton outfit 'The Harbor Lights,' and Alex went on to join popular adult contemporary group 'Menocu.' The seas had never been the same since... until at an open air Moroccan bazaar, Alex, Timothy, and Jesse crossed paths again. All happened to be searching for the famous Lemarchand's puzzle box. Incidentally, Timothy was working on a new project, Brown Recluse Sings, and recruited them on the spot, leaving the search for the prized antique an unfulfilled one.
