The title of the band named after a poem by legendary Bengali poet Jibanananda Das. “Monoshoroni” denotes the solitary alley of mind. The band started their journey with two members Probar Ripon (vocal and guitars) and Muiz Mahfuz (vocal and guitars) in 2004. Both the poets, Ripon and Mahfuz, came up to express their poems through music. The band released their first song “Jole Agun” in the mix album “Shopnochura-2” in 2008. Tasbih joined the band as a bassist in 2009 and Badhon (on drums) in 2010. Later, Rahin (saxophone) joined the band.
