Artist
Monkey Do Started mixing vinyl in the mid '90s when we called the music Goa and the tunes were proper and psychedelic and the drugs were good and the producers used hardware and things were were not as good as they used to be. Kind of skipped the CD revolution and is now mixing exclusively in the medium of komputerMaschine and have been for years, even live...which means he's either a pioneer, a cheat, or just doing what he does depending on how much of a c#@k you are. His style is best described as 'I play more Good Psytrance than Shit Psytrance'. Morning/Nightime/Progressive/(neo)Full-On/Forest/Swamp/Aldi/Bunty/Babman... really, I mean WTF?! What does it all mean? He bases track selections on feeling assisted by bpm and key...beyond that who gives a Nobbys Nut? Host of Digitally Imported's "Strange Tale", a monthly mixshow with perhaps one of the largest regular online psytrance audiences. Usually it's just him and a couple of hours of bangers, although occasional guest DJ's straight from the UK underground may well pop up once in a while to demonstrate that just because you didn't get Lucas to mix your set for you you're still worth listening to. Also host of Thirsty Thursday on Psystream.net, a weekly show with perhaps the smallest regular online psytrance audience. But they are special. It's 100% live, sometimes drunk, and occasionally random. Thirsty Thursday on http://www.psystream.net - Underground and Cool. (also relayed on Spiderpower.net) from http://www.djmonk
