Monique Charlotte Shippen (born January 3, 1993) is an unsigned singer/songwriter and actress who grew up on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Australia. She began drama at the age of 5, piano at 8, singing at 9 and guitar at 13. Winning her school's talent quest in 2004 encouraged her to continue on with performing, which lead to eisteddfods, competitions and other shows. After taking a singing/songwriting course with the vocal coach of Australian Idol, Erana Clark, and producing 5 songs, her passion for songwriting started to grow.
