*** THERE ARE TWO BANDS WITH THE NAME MONDO GECKO 1.The Israeli Power-Violence / Thrashcore band 2. The Boston, MA, USA based Jam Band *** 1. The Israeli Power-Violence / Thrashcore band Thrashcore / Power-violence foursome out of the dirtiest apartments in Tel-Aviv. Been going on since mid-2007 with one line-up that will never change as all four of us complete a mysterious anti-social cult named "Brothers Of Blasphemy" which it's leader is a plastic manikin head named "Brutus" that's half melted because of spray-paint. Our lyrics deal with mental health, fantasy and imagination, ganja and the everyday life in a small isolated country in which way too many people are named "AVI". Our name has no special meaning to us, it's just a cool name. if you really insist though, Google it! So far we did 2 tours in both eastern and western europe, in which we got the chance to take part of some great hardcore/grindcore festivals such as: Obscene extreme, D.I.Y gdynia and Fluff fest. As well, we shared stages both in israel and in europe with some of our favourite bands such as: Useless ID, No use for a name, Ratos de porao, Napalm death, Municipal waste, Colera, Subhumans (uk), DxPxAx, Pavillionul32, Biala goraczka and so many other ones... Besides mondo gecko, we play in other punk/hardcore bands in israel which you could check out in our "top friends" list: - Tea with satan (grinding hardcore with yanir) - The Backliners (pop-punk with corey) - Uzbeks (punk-rock with nadav) - Bruta
