Artist
Pop punk from Tupper Lake, NY. Released an EP, "The Monday Mourning Massacre" in 2003 & a Single, "She Won't Stay" in 2021. "Normally when you read a band's bio, it blows them up, makes them sound larger than life, and sounds stupid. It sounds like it wasn't even written by the band. Monday Mourning isn't like that even a little. We're not out to hange the world, we're not going to create a new genre. We just want to play what makes us happy. We've always rocked out as hard as possible, sometimes it sounded good, and sometimes it didn't. Here is our brief history... Monday Mourning formed in October of 2002. Bryan Shortell as bass and lead vocals, Shaun Swick on guitar, Jared Bashant on drums, and Bruce Goff on guitar. For the next 8 months or so, we played in and around New York State. Picking up a couple fans here and there. Things were off to a good start. Somewhere around the spring of 2003 it became apparent that it was time for Monday Mourning and guitarist Bruce Goff to split. There was absolutely NO hard feelings involved. It was more of a mutual kinda thing. We still think Bruce is one totally sweet dude. Ryan Hayden took the new guitar playing position. He was in a band previously called Yours Truly. After he joined, the band took a "break" and just worked out kinks in the music and re-invented the songs that they had. Finally, in July at the Clinton County Fair Battle of the Bands, we debuted our new "lineup". We had our asses handed to us by TOTALLY sweet AC/DC
