Monday In London was an alternative rock/post-hardcore band from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. Bio from their Myspace in 2005: Formed in late 2001, Winston-Salem's Monday in London sought out a path few in the region have chosen. Coming from the hardcore/metal scene that covers most of North Carolinas underground scene, members Matthew Schwartz (vocals), Sterling Plemmons (guitar, vocals), Daniel Allen (guitar, piano), Wes Clifton (bass) and Robbie Adkins (drums) sought out to give the music world a breath of fresh air by combining the intensity of their hardcore upbringings with melody and hooks. This new found mixture has undoubtedly compelled fans of Monday In London to think twice about what a band should be, and how music should make them feel. Shortly after their freshman release, "The Red Machine" (Indianola Records), recorded with their original singer, the band embarked on several different tours with the likes of Jupiter Sunrise, Tora Tora Torrance, Days Like These, and Salem. They have also shared the stage with The Juliana Theory, Fairweather, Bayside, Beloved, Liars Academy, and Copeland. Having there original singer leave them in the middle of a very successful tour left the band going home to write and refocus. They decided that the only choice they had was to push forward and write the best songs they have ever written.
