In a scene increasingly dominated by what makes you similar rather than by what sets you apart, Winnipeg, Manitoba's Moments Of Brilliance have done nothing but the latter. They have always done what feels right. They play and write the music they want to. Not only because they love it, but because they need it. This is the reason why they are emerging as one of the most promising young bands of the Canadian music scene. Since forming in 2004, Moments Of Brilliance have built a strong local fan base and developed an edgy pop punk sound composed of heavy rhythms, hopeful to bitter lyrics, and not just sing-a-long choruses - but sing-a-long verses, bridges and breakdowns too. To date they have sold over 1500 copies of their first two EPs in and around Winnipeg alone. With their third EP, "Pass It On", due for release in summer 2008, Moments of Brilliance has further captured and perfected their essence and sound. Moments of Brilliance have continued to improve and hold their own on stage, playing notoriously exciting and energetic shows for any one who will pay attention.
