1. Moment of Zen is a electro-collegiate house/ukestep band from Ithaca, NY. Made up of Jimmy Buzzell (Synths and vocals), Matt Scarpino (Drums, vocals, and synths), and Lara Bonner (vocals and ukulele). They write satiric songs about college life, whales and stuff that's hot. Their music is perfect for the clubs and for the everyday dorm room rager. Their first album, "Party Foul," was released on Myspace (momentofzen1) and Facebook (Moment of Zen) on April 30 with 15 tracks. This eclectic group's music is on its way to inventing new styles of music by combining classic genres. Their first album and their unreleased music often features artists such as girl rapper Franca Summers and DJ J-Master Phunk. 2. Moment of Zen is an up and coming band from North Jersey, who thrives on the intensity and exhileration of a live show. Their music ranges from punk to alternative to folk to jam, and they are always thinking of new ways to combine those genres. It is fresh, catchy, ever-changing, meaningful, and a new style of music. Their first album "Tall Tales of Tiny Giants" was released in July 2008. It was recorded in Zen Studios, a home studio which the band built from scratch. It was mixed, engineered, produced, and performed by Moment of Zen. "Tall Tales" is composed of music written by the band between 2005 and 2007. The album has since gone on to sell hundreds of copies and spread all over the tri-state area. Anxious to show the world their new material, Moment of Zen
