1. Modest Proposal is an electronic band from Prague in Czech Republic. 2. It's been almost 25 years since Washington, DC's Modest Proposal played its last show, at London's famed 100 Club. Now MP founders singer-songwriter Neal Augenstein and guitarist-songwriter Bill Crandall have reunited, joined by former Minor Threat bassist Steve Hansgen, and legendary punk drummer Danny Ingram. In the 1980s, Modest Proposal was at the forefront of the nation's capital's mod scene. With catchy, high-energy songs, MP drew praise in the United States and abroad for its releases on UK labels Unicorn Records, and Hi-Lo Records. Within weeks of reforming in September 2009, Modest Proposal was back in the studio, toughening up several of its classic songs, and recording for the first time a song written in 1985, "Already An Angel." The rejuvenated and reinvigorated Modest Proposal has already played its first sold-out show, and is booking shows and plans to record again, in 2010.
