Modern Condition is the next step for JJ, Q and Mike Lardy, former members of the pioneering live hip-hop group Hydrophonics. The band has experienced break-ups and breakdowns and re-emerged with renewed purpose and vigor. After years of committing false starts and continuing through true ends, the band has focused its passion and energy to become MOD CON. Mod Con plays a progressive, alternative hip-hop, rock and dance fusion with propulsive rhythms, slashing guitar, and melodic choruses. Thoughtful narratives, current events and personal travails dot the sonic landscape. Modern Condition’s original music is characterized by bold songwriting and rare alchemy, and features elements of artists like Atmosphere, Beck, The Black Eyed Peas, Gorillaz, Linkin Park, and Outkast.
