Artist
Multi-instrumentalist Mitch Easter is best known as the producer of REM's "Murmur" album and releases from (among others) Velvet Crush, Pavement, Game Theory, Marshall Crenshaw, Drive By Truckers and the Loud Family. In the 1980s he was the principal member of Let's Active, who released three albums of new-wavey power-pop; "Cypress" (1984), "Big Plans For Everybody" (1986) and the harder-edged "Every Dog Has Its Day" (1988). Following the last of these three records, his output was restricted to production and guitar chores for a variety of artists. Easter returned after 19 years with "Dynamico" in 2007, picking up musically where his Let's Active material left off.
