Mission Black Band Members: Chris Collier - Lead Vocals, Guitars Phil A. Beer - Guitars Dan Stone - Drums Chris Breedlove - Bass Spawned from the bowels of Santa Clarita, Mission:Black burst onto the scene in March ’08, fusing a heavy rock/metal sound with melodic vocals. A hybrid of some sort, branding the name Hybrid Metal! Mission:Black was formed by Chris Collier, lead vocalist and guitarist for the band. The vision was clear: Create something epic, brutal and heart-felt. But this took time. 2 years prior, Chris had laid the groundwork for what was to become the now self-titled release. It was a process that took a lot of time and effort, but was in no doubt a great accomplishment. In the final moments of completion, Chris put together a group of not only great musicians, but great friends as well. To round out and fatten the guitar-driven assault of the album, Phil A. Beer was indeed the best man for the job. Playing along side him in Uriah, Chris knew that Phil was a key factor in keeping the guitar-driven pulse alive. Next was Dan Stone on drums. Filling the seat and playing the drums for Mission:Black was no easy task. But Dan impressed with flying colors, putting the forth the drive and energy the band is now known for. Last but not least was Breed. In a world where bass players aren’t that easy to come by, Breed rounded out the rhythm section with a presence that was easily recognizable, not only in his playing, but in his energy on stage.
