Misguided Aggression’s rhythmically punishing sound has often been referred to as combining the power of Pantera, the aggression of Lamb of God, and the precision of Meshuggah. From Woodstock, Ontario, this 5-piece groove metal band has risen to prominence in their home province and is quickly expanding its reach across Canada and beyond. 2009 saw the release of the band’s debut full-length album, Hatchala, on Year Of The Sun Records. The release was supported by numerous headlining shows and mini-tours, as well as a highly acclaimed music video for the song ‘Our Kingdom Come’, produced and directed by Chad Archibald of Black Fawn Films. In 2011, Misguided Aggression struck again with their sophomore full-length release, Flood The Common Ground. The album features an overall renement of the band’s sound. Every element is tighter, every member has noticeably upped their game, and the band’s bold media-critical, anti-war message is undeniable. Through their 2012 showcase at Canadian Music Week, their 2011 ‘Unshaved & Unbathed’ tour, as well as recent performances with notable acts such as Behemoth, Beneath The Massacre, God Forbid, Protest The Hero, Cancer Bats, The Agonist and Baptized In Blood, Misguided Aggression are bringing their crushing live show to every stage that will have them and to every ear that will listen.
