Mirra is a young artist from Moscow, one of the most promising performers on the eccentric Russian electronic scene. Inspired by foreign celebrities such as Enduser, The Flashbulb, Wisp and Aaron Spectre, Artem (Mirra’s real name) managed to infuse even hard-edged and straight-out breakcore with feeling. Melodic, energetic and impulsive, Mirra’s music is filled with an incessant desire to experiment. Acutely sensing the rhythm of the moment, he proportionally combines idm, è drum'n'bass è breakcore. What Artem found is undeniably a new individual style: romantic breakcore. In January 2007 Acidsamovar - AcSa003 released his first record - Mirra – Never Knows Best. Mirra was the first Russian artist to release his breakcore record on an EP. In the summer of 2007 Mirra met Fay, a well-known Moscow MC. They created Mirra + Fay project and have performed together ever since. With Fay’s deeply affecting, expressive and sensual vocals Mirra’s music has risen to a new level. In return, Mirra’s striking, classy and original performance allowed the talented Fay to realize her full potential. Anyone who’s ever been to a Mirra + Fay concert will remember a lingering impression it makes: not often can you hear music that is such a powerful source of positive emotion!
