The duo behind Am Tierpark team up for an industrial power trip, electro meets industrial meets Leæther Strip meets Mirland meets Am Tierpark! A new take on dark electronic music from John R. Mirland and Claus Larsen The constellation of John R. Mirland (Mirland, Holm/Mirland) and Claus Larsen (Leæther Strip, Klutæ) is usually known for the highly acclaimed work as Electropop duo Am Tierpark. This time they are out to claim new territory as Mirland/Larsen presents "Disturbia" - a collection of intense, high octane aggressive, dark and yet harmonic tracks inspired by personal frustration, pain and a world quickly going to Hell. John R. Mirland played drums in various metal bands while recording noise/industrial in the early and mid 90’s. After years’ hiatus from the music nurturing a career as an illustrator and painter 2010 saw the release of “Cerebral Reducing Valve”. Recorded using analog synths and heavily manipulated samples the ep was a venture into dark ambient, noise and minimal techno. In 2011 Mirland founded Mechanical Principle as a channel for his love of space synth and italo. The project got signed to New York label Audio Visual Algebra - the label who also ended up releasing the second ep “Europa Machine” for Holm/Mirland - the internationally acknowledged collaboration with fellow Dane Kim Holm (REcession Festival).
