Miriam Prandi, thanks to a musical talent of rare communication and versatility, stands out with her interpretations as an exceptional personality capable of tackling the solo and chamber repertoire not only as a cellist but also as a pianist. In January 2014 she was awarded the overall First Prize at the Rahn Musikpreis in Zurich by a jury of important musicians chaired by the cellist Sol Gabetta, making her debut at the Tonhalle in Zurich with Dvořák’s Concerto. Among the numerous debuts as a soloist, Miriam Prandi performed at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseyev, and in 2023 with the National Orchestra of the Polish Radio (NOSPR) in Katowice under the direction of Michele Spotti. In the 2024/2025 season, she performed as a soloist on the European tour with the MusicAeterna Orchestra under Teodor Currentzis, with concerts at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Verdi Festival at the Teatro Regio di Parma, and at the Teatro Galli for the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana. In the same season, she stepped in for Misha Maisky as the soloist in Dvořák’s Cello Concerto on the Italian tour with the Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Andrey Boreyko.
