Mirel J. was born in Galati, Romania in 1977. He has been fascinated by music since early childhood. His first attempts as a DJ were back in 1999, when he was asked to replace a sick friend, who was residing at the club during that time. Mirel became immediately addicted to playing the crowd and went looking out for more. His efforts resulted in his first residency at 'The Hole Club' in 2001. Later on he moved to the infamous 'Mon Caprice Club', where he became a well known icon for the local Romanian underground scene. Now he`s music producer. Mirel has his own unique sound, using a blend of breakbeat, progressive house and techhouse tracks. Lately he's discovering new directions, resulting in progressive / psychodelic influences in his work.
