In the last years Mirek Coutigny (°4/03/1992) has been on a continuous quest to blend acoustic and electronic instruments as you’ve never heard before. He has developed his repertoire through writing pieces for different musicians and ensembles (Lunapark ensemble, Spectra ensemble, ...). On his debut EP, Revisions #1, he takes all this music and blends it into something new. The result is music that is driven by a never-ending pulse, influenced by minimal music, but always moving from one story to the next. From the combination of his energetic piano playing, nostalgic synthesizers and subtle strings emerges a cinematic soundscape that tells the story without images. 2018 will see the release of his debut EP ‘Revisions #1’, together with performances of this music both as a soloist and within various collaborations.
