Minus The Sky is a metal/hardcoreiIndustrial band from York, England. Previously known as Bled in Agony and Vanacutt. The band started playing Nu-Metal in garages around York in about 2003. The band enjoyed many years of popularity including TV and press coverage and traveled nationally before making a sad but amicable split in 2008. Simon and Josh went on to form the hardcore band Bitterskies, an admirable effort that never really attained the same quality of writing or popularity of Minus the Sky. Karlos Banks went on to form industrial band A-FX who have enjoyed much success and command great respect on the UK underground EBM scene. The band briefly reformed in 2010 to work on new material until other projects began to claim too much time for the band to realistically make any return to the national scene. Josh now plays bass in the massively successful York based rock band theFallen. Simon states that he has more or less retired from the music world now, but still periodically records pop and blues music at home. He also takes to the stage nationally as a stand-up comedian.
